New Version of the AI Trust Audit: AI Mentions, Percentage Score, and Informative Checks
Since the last major update, a lot has happened with the AI Trust & Visibility Audit. Featuring new checks, a revised scoring logic, and expanded AI support, the audit now delivers even more precise and comparable results. Here is an overview of the most important new features.
New Category: AI Mentions
The audit now checks whether and how your brand is perceived by the three leading AI systems – ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. These three new checks analyze:
- AI Brand Visibility: Is your brand mentioned by AI models at all when users ask for relevant products or services?
- AI Fact Fidelity: Does the information that AI systems provide about your company match reality?
- AI Competitive Position: How does your brand compare to competitors when AI systems make recommendations?
New Check: Quality Analysis of the About Us Page
The About Us page is one of the most important sources for AI systems to categorize your company and evaluate it as trustworthy. The new check analyzes your page based on six dimensions:
- Verifiable Facts: Does the page contain concrete, verifiable information such as founding year, number of employees, or locations?
- Personalization: Are relevant people introduced with their names and roles?
- Company History: Is there a traceable history or timeline?
- External Evidence: Are certifications, awards, or partnerships mentioned?
- Structured Presentation: Is the page clearly structured with headings and paragraphs?
- Unique Selling Points (USP): Is it clearly communicated what makes the company special?
Informative Checks: Transparency Without Score Distortion
Nine checks are now purely informative and are no longer included in the overall score. These include:
- HowTo Schema and Video Schema
- Cookie Banner Recognition
- Wikipedia Presence
- Comment Function and Multimedia Content
Percentage-Based Score and Ranking
The audit result is now displayed as a percentage value – for example, "78 %" instead of an absolute point total. This has a decisive advantage: even when new checks are added or existing ones are adjusted, your results remain comparable over time.
Additionally, the result now shows a percentile ranking: You can see how your website compares to all previously tested websites. A value like "Top 5 %" means that 95 % of all tested websites achieved a lower result.
Many More Improvements in Detail
- The entire audit – including all check descriptions, action guidelines, FAQs, and blog articles – is now fully available in eight languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Dutch, Polish, Italian, and Portuguese.
- The frequently asked questions have been expanded with new entries – including topics like informative checks and the updated scoring logic (0–5 points per check instead of the previous 1–5). This allows users to quickly find answers to the most important questions about the audit process.
- The presentation of results for all tests has been made clearer, so it is now even easier to recognize where potential lies and which topics you could target.
Conclusion: Now is the Right Time
